SC Engineers served as the Mechanical Engineer of Record for this project which consists of approximately 17,500 SF of new construction to support program expansion to diesel, natural gas, hybrid bus, and transit technology as well as new developments in construction equipment technology at Miramar College. The primary spaces provided are a six-bay vehicle shop, faculty offices, classrooms, a dynamometer, and equipment storage.

The project achieved LEED Silver Certification and includes such sustainable features as daylighting, natural ventilation, low water use, and efficient systems in all occupied spaces. SC Engineers provided comprehensive building energy modeling throughout the design process to provide sustainable design options resulting in the lowest possible building energy use.
